About Uvita:
Set in one of the most biologically diverse regions of the world, Playa Uvita is among the most stunning beaches on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast. Located about 15 km south of Dominical, Playa Uvita is situated within the Marino Ballena National Park, a marine park that is very popular because of the annual Humpback whale migration. Uvita also hosts 2 annual music festivals, the Best Fest & Envision Festival.
Uvita de Osa is a small village in the Puntarenas province, and is notable for being home to the Cola de Ballena, or the Whale's Tail, one of the most striking and recognizable costal formations in the country. While surfing enthusiasts prefer Dominical, Uvita has become the tourist tour hub of the Costa Ballena region, largely due to it's proximity to National Park. Uvita is considered the commercial center of Costa Ballena, and has grown very much over the years where many expats from Europe and North America have made Uvita their home.
There is a lot to do and see in this amazing part of the world, like whale watching, surfing, diving & snorkeling and ATV tours, horseback riding and kayaking to name only a few.
